INTRODUCTION: At New Mt. Pleasant Missionary Baptist Church, we believe that every believer is called to

both initiation and vocation in the Body of Christ. This questionnaire is designed to

prayerfully help you identify where God may be calling you to serve — whether in an

existing ministry or through the creation of new outreach opportunities.

Biblical Foundations:

Initiation (Matthew 4:19-20)

"And he said to them, 'Follow me, and I will make you fishers of men'; Immediately they left their nets and followed him."

- Definition: Initiation is the divine call to enter into fellowship with Christ and His mission.

- Purpose: Every believer is first called to relationship with Jesus and to the work of sharing

His love with others.

Vocation (Ephesians 4:11-12)

"And he gave the apostles, the prophets, the evangelists, the shepherds and teachers, to equip the saints for the work of ministry, for building up the body of Christ."

- Definition: Vocation is the specific role, gift, or service to which God uniquely appoints you.

- Purpose: God calls each person to a distinct area of ministry, using their gifts to edify the church and reach the world.
